At 9am this Sunday in front of Marlin Court it appears a body was removed from the beach to a police van

The area looked like a field of yellow daffodills there was so many police there and at least 5 police cars and several other vans and ambulancs I would think every policeman ( or police woman) in Adur was there, like bees around a honey pot.

Any one know what was going on, it has been suggested it might have been a jumper from Worthing pier?

Couldn't have been there that long, walked the dog along that section of the beach about 7.30am!

The washed-up body of the woman, thought to be in her 70s, was found around 0830 BST on a beach at Lancing.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene, where the woman was pronounced dead.

Police believe her death was not suspicious, but their investigations are still ongoing. The woman's next of kin have been informed.
