We are a married couple with a 12 year old daughter (going on 22 or at least that’s the way it seems at the moment )
My wife has been a Lancing resident all of her life and comes from an old Lancing and Sompting family going back at least 4 generations. I originally came from Shoreham but have lived in Lancing now for over 40 years.
Over the years we have seen Lancing and Sompting change in many different ways, some positive and some negative and with the evolvement of technology we felt we have now been given a way, by means of the World Wide Web, to set up a community website and forum for the people of Lancing and the surrounding areas to have their say on the changes in Lancing or to share with the community some news or info of local interest.
When time permits we try to attend community functions that take place in Lancing, and share via the web pages any community photographs or video that we take for your enjoyment.
We hope you find this site of interest and use and we welcome any feedback to make it more enjoyable.
“Lancing Independent” was born on 19th March 2007, its main mission is to be a public forum for the community of Lancing
